Dance Top
Whatsup guys? I’ve got NUEVAYoL in my ears and a generous hour before boarding my flight at JFK to Berlin.
The Super Bowl has almost started but my sights are respectfully out of America and set on adventures to come. Thanks again for helping me pack. Can’t wait to share with you where these outfits went post adventures.
For now - I hope this email finds you fluttering. Bursting from song. Cutting a rug. Shimmying in a puffer.

Yes, when January set in I once again took my depressed ass back to dance. Since sub zero temps limit my outdoor running, I always look to dance during January and February to stay happy, cross train safe and have some fun without breaking the bank.
For all reasons mentioned, I ended up at Pole Dance.
Pole Dance is the hardest most strenuous physically grueling beautiful and transformative form of exercise I have ever attempted. I can’t get enough.
Pole dance demands strength essential to one’s core, arm pits, quads, wrists and back.
From running, I had the ingredients but no gas. So when those stoves started going I looked to the real cooks in charge: Pole Dancers.
Dear reader. Have you ever desperately wanted to be schooled so hard by women more capable more dexterous more strong than you? Do you crave for those older sister figures that wore tight tops in Highschool spoke directly and took no shit?
Please look no further than pole dance. Pole is where I go to be abso fucking lutely schooled. Sorry but I wasnt getting that in Shivasana! So my classroom is now a perpendicular Ice cold cylinder. And The teachers? Some of the most Brilliant women I have ever come to know.
Yea. Pole has been really fun. I’m excited to keep learning in small ways. I’m no where near ready for heels. I keep repeating the same 3 foundational courses.
And by the way here’s everything that I wore to class!!!!!

as a fellow relatively-novice pole enthusiast (and omg hiiiii to Alexis in the background, she's a gorgeous genius) i'll say that moving beyond the foundational courses and just throwing yourself into any class that sounds appealing (provided it's level-appropriate) has been most helpful in seeing progress; you'll constantly be surprised by what your body can do (and schooled over and over and over again)
I’ve always wanted to take a pole dancing class. Where do you go in nyc/bk
